Akens Engineering Associates was founded in 1983 by George Akens and has remained a family business ever since. Their business practice is based on integrity and honesty. In 2008, Scott Akens and Rick Caranfa took over the businesses but have not changed those core principles. With so much experience, we understand your project and what it will take to successfully complete the task. We offer honest evaluations and proposals to become resources for our clients.
The four primary diciplines of Akens Engineering are: Subdivision & Land Development, Surface Mining Permitting, Surveying, and Railroad Services. This allows us to become an integral resource for Central Pennsylvania companies with personalized consulting and execution.
